John Wellman

John David Wellman, 52, of Munhall, went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2022.

Born on August 4, 1970 in Blue Island, IL, and grew up in Burnsville, MN; cherished son of Kenneth and Karen Wellman; dear brother of Ken Wellman (Friend Catherine Vandehey); Beloved husband of Jeannette Locke Wellman; Loving father of Matthew Wellman and Tyler Wellman; Uncle to Courtney Mathias (Jake), Grant Wellman, and Liz Lengyel (Friend Jhann Leon). Brother in-law to Leisel and Dale Lengyel.

John loved cooking, especially mastering BBQ. He was Booster President of Steel Valley boys varsity soccer, coached for Steel Valley soccer club and Steel Valley baseball, was team manager of his sons' PFC and Century soccer teams, was an active member of Homestead United Presbyterian Church, and an elected elder. John was successful in the metals industry, extremely skilled in developing relationships with customers and vendors. His brainchild was the Steel Valley Farmers Market. He loved fishing, history, family vacations at the beach, and watching his boys play sports.

Family and Friends will be received on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8:00 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc. 3511 Main St. Munhall Pa 15120 412-461-6394 where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 A.M.
