Joseph Carr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Carr, who left this world on December 28, 2025, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Born on April 28, 1971, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Joseph touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Joseph was a man of simple pleasures, often found enjoying soft music, going for walks on sunny days, and reminiscing about the joy he found in swimming during his early years. His zest for life and his ability to savor even the simplest moments resonated deeply with those around him.

He is survived by his beloved siblings: Linda Korzenewski, Donna Burkley, Patti (Carmen) Talarico, Tom (Colleen) Carr, Joanne (Ted) Klotzbaugh, and Bill Carr. Joseph’s brothers and sisters cherished the memories they created together, carrying forward the values and love instilled in them by their late parents, Thomas and Joanne (Rannigan) Carr. In addition, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were a source of immense pride and joy in his life.

As we gather to honor Joseph's memory, there will be a time for visitation with family on January 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, and again starting at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, located at 3511 Main St., Munhall, PA, 15120. Further services will continue on January 5, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home, followed by a gathering at Jefferson Memorial Park, 401 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh, PA, 15236, from 12:00 PM, where we will share memories and honor the life of a cherished brother, uncle, and friend.

Joseph Carr may no longer be with us, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of many. Those fortunate enough to have known him will remember the laughter, love, and warmth he generously shared.
