In Loving Memory of Joe DiMarco
Nov. 11, 1986 – May 24, 2025
With heavy hearts we share the sudden passing of Joseph Anthony DiMarco, 38, of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, a devoted husband, father, son, coach, and unforgettable friend.
Born in Stanton Heights, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Darlene DiMarco, Joe was her only child and whole world. He was preceded in death by his father, Rolando DiMarco, whom he missed fiercely, as well as his grandparents Joseph & Theresa Garcia and Antonio & Costanza DiMarco.
For 13 years, Joe shared a deep, spirited love with his wife, Julie DiMarco Moore. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and the beautiful chaos only two boys could bring. His sons, Luca, 9, and Giovanni, 6, were his pride and joy, his legacy in motion. Whether at home or on the baseball field, Joe poured his heart into fatherhood. Coaching was not just what he did, it was who he was. As the devoted coach of his sons’ team, he led with passion, heart, and a competitive spirit that made him beloved by players and parents alike.
Joe was a dedicated employee of the Pepsi-Cola Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic, team spirit, and unwavering dependability.
To his in-laws, Georgia and Dan Moore, Joe was family not just by marriage, but by heart. He also shared a close bond with his sister-in-law, Erin Moore, and cherished his special role as “Uncle Joe” to his niece, Viviana.
Joe was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have: loyal, hilarious, and always ready to lend a hand. His lifelong friend Michael Spataro and his wife Megan were chosen family, and his role as godfather to their daughter, Avery Spataro, was one he wore with honor.
He was the kindest tough guy you ever met — the friend who would roast you in a group chat but be the first to jump your car on a freezing morning. His warmth, quick wit, and magnetic personality made him unforgettable. He knew everyone, and everyone knew him.
Joe also had a deep love, some might say obsession, with food. Pizza especially held a top spot in his heart. Whether grilling in the backyard, trying local spots, or sneaking a late-night snack, a well-cooked meal was his love language. He never turned down seconds and found joy in sharing meals with the people he loved.
Joe did not do anything halfway. He loved hard, played with heart (and a little mischief), and showed up when it mattered most. He lived big and leaves a space just as large in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
Family and friends received Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 4 – 8PM and Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Joe’s memory: share a good meal — preferably pizza — with someone you love, and show up for others like he did, with heart, humor, and a plate full of whatever brings people together.
