Joseph T. Panaia

Joseph T. Panaia of Munhall passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the age of 71, surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Pittsburgh; he is predeceased by his parents, Joseph Panaia and Nancy (Vecchio) Panaia-Siyufy. Joseph leaves behind his loving wife, Barb Panaia, along with a robust family by whom he will be deeply missed. Joseph also leaves behind his sister, Roxanne (Raymond) Gillespie; he was the brother-in-law to Thomas (Francine) Klocek, Jim Klocek, Stan (Linda) Klocek, Bob (Leslie) Klocek, and Lisa Klocek. Joseph was a loving uncle to Gale (James) Emery, Raymond (Jackie) Gillespie, Jim Klocek, David (Tabetha) Klocek, Jill Klocek, Francesca (Ty) Delauter, Natalie (Grant) Klocek, Ali Klocek, and Angela (Sean) Klocek. Joseph was also the beloved great-uncle of Abigale, Max, Mia, Magnus, Roman, and Lincoln. Joseph was retired from both American Shear and Knife, Co. and Steel Valley Park School. Joseph was a devoted member of Saint Therese of Lisieux Church. He was an avid golfer, taking advantage of many of Pittsburgh‘s great local courses. Joseph will be dearly missed by all.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 15120 (412-461-6394). A Funeral Service will be held in St. Therese Church, 1 St. Therese Ct. Munhall, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:30 AM with Father Dan Sweeney officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
