Joseph Szokoly

On December 5, 2017 age 93 of West Mifflin;

Joe was born in Bridgeville the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Banyas) Szokoly;

Beloved husband of Shirley C. (McCloskey) Szokoly;

Cherished father of Mary (Dale) Edwards of West Mifflin and Linda (Joel) Barko of Connellsville:

Loving grandfather of Greg (Allison) Jessica (Steve) Scott, Kayla and Kelly;

Special great – grandfather to Landon, Olivia, Kendall, Kevin and Bryce;

Joe was a retired clerk for U.S. Steel Homestead Works, a WWII and Korean War U.S. Army Veteran, member of the West Mifflin American Legion and a 71 year member of the Homeville Volunteer Fire Company;

Friends received on Friday from 1 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St. Munhall, 15120 (412-461-6394),  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday at 10AM in Resurrection Church, West Mifflin.
