Nicholas Colon Jr.

Dec 13, 1941 — Oct 13, 2026

Nicholas Colon Jr, known affectionately as Junior by all, was born on 13 December 1941 and passed at home from natural causes on 13 October 2026.

For all who knew him, Junior was a man like no other. He was fiercely independent and strong willed. There was little he enjoyed doing more than tinkering and building. He cherished living in his childhood home and devising innovative home improvement projects, especially if they involved concrete. Even until the day he passed, he was dreaming, planning, and executing a bathroom renovation.

Junior had his own way of communicating, which sometimes intimated people, but it never stopped him from making friends everywhere he went. All you had to do was open your mind and heart to him, and he would find a way to connect and tell you about the time he put a screw through his hand because a pretty woman walked by or when he bagged that 7-point buck. He was a trickster at heart whose vibrant spirit lit up around the holidays when he rigged animatronics of mummy werewolves to haunt over custom created Christmas villages.

Junior was preceded in death by his beloved parents Nicholas and Anna (Nester) Colon and his 8 sisters, Barbara Mains, MaryAnn Beck, Evelyn Brna, Dolores Kennedy, AnnaMae Skelton, Rose Murdock, Helen Portell, & Carol Hayden. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends from all over.
