Kay F. Hood

Kay Hood passed away on January 20, 2024.  She was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio the daughter of the late Francis and Doris (Eslary) Longo. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Hood.  Cherished mother of Mary Frances and Edward Hood.  Loving sister of Sister Frances Ann Longo and the late Barbara Longo.  Kay was a retired nurse for St. Francis Hospital and a longtime member of St Therese Church a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.  Her family would like to thank Patty, Heather and the staff of Locust Grove Memory care and Caring Hospice for the exceptional care that was given to Kay.  Family and friends received on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 1 - 3PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 2511 Main St. Munhall, 15120.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, January 24 at 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, St. Therese Worship Site.  In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations to go to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or stjude.org.  Please share your memories and condolences at georgeigreenfuneralhome.com
