Kristine Brethold

Kristine Brethold, a cherished member of the Homeville community, passed away suddenly on February 26, 2026, at the age of 58 in Whitaker, Pennsylvania. Born on February 11, 1968, in Pittsburgh, Kristine lit up the lives of everyone around her with her kindness, warm humor, and unwavering spirit.

She was known not only for her vivacious personality but also for her dedication to her career. Kristine was the former owner of Clips and Curls Hair Salon, where she displayed her passion for hairstyling and created countless beautiful moments for her clients. Following her education as a graduate of Steel Valley High School and Cosmetology School, she embarked on a journey that would see her transform many lives through the simple act of a haircut or a fresh style.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kristine was devoted to her family. She loved spending time with her loved ones, finding joy in shared laughter and memories. Her brother Timothy, along with his wife Lindsay, and her brother David, will forever cherish the moments spent with their beloved sister. She was also a proud aunt to Brody Brethold, and her love for him echoed the warmth found in her heart. Kristine found companionship in her boyfriend, Brian Kampert, with whom she shared countless adventures and dreams.

Kristine had a flair for finding treasures while "Penny Shopping" at local Dollar Stores and thrifting, hobbies that brought her joy and a sense of discovery. She had a good sense of humor that made everyone feel at ease, and her very kind nature made her a friend to many.

Kristine is survived by her brothers Timothy and David, her nephew Brody, her boyfriend Brian, and many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Larry and Mary Ann (Kascak) Brethold, who welcomed her into eternal peace.

A visitation with family will be held on March 5, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 3:30 PM, concluding with an additional visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, located at 3511 Main St., Munhall, PA 15120.
