Leo G. "Butch" Weber, Jr.

Leo G. “Butch” Weber Jr. passed away on December 12, 2023 at the age of 85.  He was born in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Leo Weber Sr. and Wilda Engle.

Born in 1938, Leo grew up playing with ships and cars that later turned into a love that essentially built his career.  He retired from Dravo as a shipbuilder in 2001.  With a passion for building, Leo restored his 1933 Chevy.  He took great pride in not the car itself but teaching his 3 grandsons how he rebuilt it to its original condition.  While Leo was building, you could find him listening to his oldies.  While building cars and ships was a passion of his, he adored his two granddaughters who often sat on his lap offering them his Tic Tacs and rolls of quarters.  When greeted by Leo, the hug you felt or the handshake you received sent an immediate message of love.  He had a gift of making you feel as the most important person in the room.  

Leo was the beloved husband of wife, the late Joan (McCarney) Weber. Leo was the loving father of Darlene (Fred) Interthal.  Cherished grandfather of David (Beth), Brian (Leigh), Fred (Trista), Jessica (Jeremy Duffy), and Alyssa Interthal.  Special great-grandfather of Lucy, Molly, Drew, Danica, Gaby, Sydney, Cruze, and Navy.  Brother of Richard Weber. 

Leo was blessed with a life surrounded by many family and friends who adored him.  His life would not have been the same without Michelle’s loving support day in and day out for over 3 ½ years, Margie and Annette’s passion to make sure Leo enjoyed all of his favorite pastimes and always being on hand for any last minute care, Eric’s companionship, and loving neighbors looking out for him in order for him to remain in his home.

Leo is most definitely sitting on his eternal porch in heaven with Joan listening to his oldies and enjoying a Klondike.
