Linda J. Dillen, a cherished mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on December 21, 1948, in Pittsburgh, she was the beloved daughter of the late Chucky and Gertrude Dedo. Linda's loving spirit and warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Linda's passion for life was evident in everything she did. Her career centered around her most rewarding role: caring for her beloved grandchildren, AJ, Scott, Morgan, Tabby, and Abby. She poured her heart into nurturing them, creating memories that will forever be held dear in the hearts of her family.
An inspiring figure, Linda attended beauty school, where she developed skills that complemented her love for creativity. She enjoyed indulging in her hobbies, which included knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. Beyond crafts, she had a particular fondness for baking cookies, filling her home with warmth and the comforting aroma of freshly baked treats.
Avid readers would find Linda lost in the thrilling pages of James Patterson novels, captivated by stories that mirrored her adventurous spirit. In addition to her literary pursuits, she often delighted in the excitement of days spent at Kenywood, cherishing moments of joy and laughter with her loved ones. But her absolute favorite thing was watching Sunday night football.
Linda held a special place in her heart for all animals, particularly Huskies and mixed-breed dogs, reflecting her nurturing nature and ability to connect with all living beings.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Melissa (Joe) Heckert and Tim (Ashley) Dillen, as well as her treasured grandchildren, AJ, Scott, Morgan, Tabby, and Abby. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her niece, Sheron Ziefel.
Linda J. Dillen’s legacy lives on in the love she shared and the many lives she touched. Her spirit of kindness, creativity, and devotion to family will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
