Lois Ackerman

On August 25, 2014, age 86 of Munhall, formerly of Whitaker;

Lois was born in Whitaker, the daughter of the late Adam and Anna (Orris) Durst;

Loving wife of the late Robert R. Ackerman;

Cherished mother of Robert R. (Deborah) Ackerman II and Kenneth R. (Michelle) Ackerman;

Loving grandmother of Rob, Ryan, Lauren, Marissa and Nick;

Also many nieces and nephews;

Preceded in death by her siblings Lizetta, Lil, Irene, Naomi, Pearl, Albert, George “Uncle Bill” and Bob; and brother's in law Frank and Alfred Ackerman;

Lois was a longtime member of Whitaker United Methodist Church and the Whitaker Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and was the owner of Bob's Autotorium on River Road at the Rankin Bridge in Whitaker.

Friends received on Wednesday 6 – 9 PM and Thursday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc., 3511 Main St., Munhall, 15120 (412-461-6394) where services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jeffrey Lukacs officiating.
