Lois Jean Mikelonis (Servetnick), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Whitaker, Pennsylvania. Born on September 28, 1943, in Homestead, Pennsylvania, Jean lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Jean was a proud graduate of Homestead High School and dedicated over 30 years of her professional life as a Pharmacy Technician. Whether it was shopping outings with her daughter, relaxing evenings listening to Patsy Cline, or lively card games of “500 RUM,” Jean embraced every moment with joy and enthusiasm. She loved attending craft shows, exploring new finds, going to the casino, and sharing laughter and good times with her "Club Girls". These moments symbolized the vibrancy she brought into the lives of everyone she encountered.
Jean’s loving presence remains treasured by her devoted husband of 54 years, Gerald "Mick" Mikelonis; their children, Jerry (Stacy) Mikelonis, Jaison (Jen) Mikelonis, and Gina (John) Karafa; and her grandchildren Ashley, Taylor, Jaison "J.J.," Isabella, and Kayla Karafa. She also leaves behind her brothers, John (Doris) Servette and Tom (Bev) Servetnick, alongside a wide circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rose (Melore) Servetnick.
