On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Lucille Lorraine (DiGregory) Stinner, 71, passed on to Paradise. Ironically, Lucy died quite suddenly and unexpectedly, though she had battled recurrent leukemia and a rare form of cardiac cancer for some thirteen years.
Lucy is survived by the love of her life, Robert G. Stinner, to whom she was married for almost 50 years, and their beloved son, Robert, Jr. and his wife, Chelsea.
Also left to hold Lucy forever in their hearts are her siblings and their spouses: Victoria (Paul) Polinko of O’Hara Township, Adrian Lamb of McKeesport, Mary (Daniel) Evans of Gainesville, Virginia, John DiGregory of Homestead, and Cecelia (Chris) Leber of Port Vue. Lucy was also the most loving aunt imaginable to her nieces and nephews: Allysa and Amanda DiGregory, Daniel J. Evans, Jr. of Gainesville, VA., godson Matthew Lamb of Fayetteville, NC, Angelo, Chelsea, and Christopher Leber, and Jacob Wright originally of Melbourne, FL.
There surely is a celebration in Heaven today as Lulu is undoubtedly being reunited with all the deeply loved ones who have gone there before her: her parents, John and Lucy DiGregory, her in-laws, Gayle (“Rusty”) and Grace Stinner, and her sister-in-law, Cathy Wright. There is surely rock music to echo the many concerts that Bob and Lucy attended, plus Big Band music for dancing with Dad, and the fake Southern drawl of comedian Russ singing, “You Picked a Fine Time to leave me Lucille.”
Though Lucy was an extremely hard worker, she was still the Queen of fun. She loved sports, especially the Penquins, singing around the campfire with friends and family, sun worshipping, cruising to warm places, gambling at the casino, baking Christmas cookies, gardening, bird feeding, and going to the spaghetti dinners at the Glassport Sons of Italy.
Everyone who knew Lucy will miss her mischievous laughter, her ever-present jeans and T-shirts, her rapier wit, and especially her seemingly endless supply of love. Until we see you again, we borrow the Biblical verse— “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
