Lynne Riley

Lynne Lee (née Caddy) (Petras) Riley was born in Munhall on June 21, 1941.  She passed away surrounded by her family in Pittsburgh on Saturday, November 18, 2023 after a brief illness.  Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. Caddy and Doris J. (née Meyer) Caddy (Laird), and is survived by her husband, John S. Riley, her brother, Larry C. Caddy, her daughter, Jody L. Petras, her son, Jeffrey C. Petras, and her granddaughter, Olivia L. Petras.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many lifelong close friends as she was a very giving person who touched the lives of everyone she met in a positive way.  Her children are eternally grateful for her having provided the best childhood ever and she was a wonderful loving grandmother.  Lynne was a talented artist, avid gardener, collector of antiques, owner/operator of a hair salon in Pointe Breeze, Pittsburgh for many years (she cherished her customers), lifelong member of Anne Ashley Memorial United Methodist Church and staunch supporter of any organization that prevents the suffering of animals. Her dry wit and great sense of humor left her family and friends smiling every day. Lynne was a very kind and caring soul who truly enjoyed her life, family and friends, and her countless gifts of kindness will live on in the hearts of many. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Animal Friends.
