Margaret Troy

Margaret (Greta) Troy, age 97, passed away peacefully at Concordia of Monroeville Personal Care on Monday June 30, 2025. Greta was born on September 28, 1927 to her mother Margaret Simpson Steele and her father Thomas Steele. On November 23, 1948 Greta married her high school sweetheart Wilson E. Troy. Always in love they had a wonderful and happy marriage of 65 years. Greta and Wilson had a great life that included living in a delightful community surrounded by friends and had the opportunity to travel to many countries. Enjoyment for Greta also included shopping adventures looking for all the best bargains. Greta always said she lived a rich and wonderful life. She is survived by her daughter Linda (James). and son Thomas (girlfriend Jeannie). She especially loved her role as grandma and great grandma. She was surrounded by five grandchildren Nicole (Mark), Jason (Meredith), Ryan (Megan), Jessica (Dave) and Kayla (Pete) along with 10 great grandchildren; Caleb, Tyler, Owen, Eli, Harper Ethan, Troy, Cadence, Viviane and Leo. A memorial service to celebrate Greta's life will be held on Monday July 14, 2025 at the George Green Funeral Home on Main Street in Munhall, PA.
