Margaretta Campbell

Following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer, Margaretta Berkley Campbell of Munhall passed away on July 15, 2026 at the age of 81 years.

She was widely known as Margie, and she was owner/operator of the Americana Beauty Salon on 8th Avenue in Homestead for many decades.She also worked at Caddy Shack in Point Breeze and Hair Flair in Squirrel Hill.

Margie loved the Lord, and with His help she battled her illness bravely over the last five years. There was a special place in her heart for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and she was a 50 year season ticket holder.

She was a lifelong member of Anne Ashley Community Church in Munhall.

She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Daniel Berkley (LuAnn), niece Heather Irwin (Dan), nephew Brendan Berkley (Madelyn) and their children Vera, Inara, Myra, and Aldan; as well as numerous friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Roy Campbell, brother Lloyd N Berkley Ill, and her parents: Lloyd N Berkley Il and Elizabeth Britner Berkley.

A brief visitation will be held at Anne Ashley Community Church on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 PM in the Sanctuary. A Memorial Service will then take place at 2:00 PM with Pastor Keith Kaufold officiating. Inurnment will be private. All arrangements handled by the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., in Munhall.

The family is very grateful for the care and compassion shown by neighbors and friends, especially JoAnn and George, Sally, Janet, Kathy, and Judy.
