Marilyn K. Garstka

Marilyn K. Garstka (Rannigan) passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2023, in Pittsburgh at the age of 37 (HaHa). Marilyn was born on January 17, 1950, in Pittsburgh to James and Alice Rannigan.

Marilyn was a caring and welcoming person who had a big heart for her family and friends. Spending time with her family and friends was one of her biggest joys in life. Marilyn is survived by her husband Richard, sister-in-law Beverly Rannigan, nephew Chad (Megan) Rannigan, niece Jennifer (Christopher) Albert, grand-niece Abigail, grand-nephew Austin, known to many in the community as Granmar.

She will be missed by her many cousins from the yearly Rannigan Reunion!
 
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents James and Alice Rannigan, and brother Terry Rannigan.

Marilyn had many interests and hobbies outside of her love for family and friends. She was active with the Batch Foundation, Anne Ashley United Methodist Church, youth sports and activities, and enjoyed spending time with all her pets. These interests gave Marilyn the opportunity to widen her circle of friends and develop strong bonds within her community. Marilyn was a great friend who was always there for the big events, even bearing witness to the birth of Katie.

The visitation for Marilyn will take place on May 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main St., Munhall, PA 15120 (412-461-6394). A Funeral Service will be held at George Irvin Green Funeral Home on May 2, 2023 at 8:00 PM. 

Marilyn’s memory will forever be kept alive by the lives of those she touched throughout her life. She was the best friend anyone could ever have.
