Mary Catherine Arendash

On April 20th, Mary Catherine Arendash (Weimerskirch), age 88, of Hays passed away peacefully surrounded by her six daughters and close family. She was a devoted wife to the late John Arendash for 68 years, and a loving mother to Suzanna Hegarty, Mary Joyce Kunz (Dave), Loraine Navoney (Ken), Christine Leshen (Alex Antosik), Lorynda Poljak (Jimmy), and Renee Arendash. She was a cherished grandmother to 10 grand children April Piccolo (Brian), Michael Kunz (Patricia), Christina Hoburg (Jon), Lauren Barchanowicz (Lenny), Katie Balcom (Aaron), Melissa Navoney (Daniel), Ryan Navoney (Bailey), Dessa Poljak (Zack), Luke Poljak (Rachael), Brittany Leshen (AJ) and had been blessed with 12 great grand children.

Mary lived life to its fullest, spending time drawing, painting, gardening, and she loved to dance. Many thanks to the Community Life teams of Homestead and McKeesport for their support and loving care.

Mary was adored by all who were fortunate to know her. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider dontaing to the Alzeheimer's Association of Pittsburgh or a charity dear to you in Mary's memory.

Family and friends recieved Wednesday, April 23, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120, 412-461-6394. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning, Thursday, April 24, at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels R.C Church, Hays, Pa.
