Mary Joan DiRocco

Mary Joan (Szarnicki) DiRocco, age 79, of Munhall, PA on Friday, April 10, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Irene (Nogoski) Szarnicki. Beloved wife of, 56 wonderful years, to Anthony "Tony" John DiRocco.

Mary Jo raised their boys and decided to go back to school to become a Pharmacy Technician, where she worked for Jefferson Hospital for many years. Mary Jo loved to listen to music with Tony and enjoyed his cooking. She enjoyed playing the piano, working on puzzles and crossword puzzles, attending concerts. She will be remembered most of all for the love she had for her family.

Mary Jo is survived by her two loving sons and daughters-in-law, Dominic (Monica) DiRocco and Michael (Cat) DiRocco;

Cherished grandsons Logan, Noah, Dante, and Demetri DiRocco; as well as her siblings, the late Susan (David survives) Armstrong, Katherine (Dennis) Smith, John (Dr. Amy Killeen) Szarnicki, the late James (Francis "Frannie" survives) Szarnicki, and Paul (the late Sean) Szarnicki.

Mary Jo also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 14, from 4-7pm and again on Wednesday, April 15, from 2-4 & 6-8, with a Funeral Service held Wednesday at 3pm with Pastor John Devey all at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA.
