Mary R. Rojtas

Mary R. Rojtas, a loving homemaker and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on March 25, 1937, in Homestead, Pennsylvania, she lived a vibrant life dedicated to caring for her family and friends.

Mary was a firecracker by nature, known for her tenacious spirit and warm heart. She found immense joy in the simple things in life, including a passion for soap operas, game shows—especially Family Feud—and her devotion to watching EWTN every morning for Mass. Her schedule-oriented nature ensured that everything around her was kept in check, she liked everything to be just right.

As a grandmother, Mary earned the title of the world’s best babysitter. Her grandkids and great-grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she thrived in nurturing them with love and joy. She had an infectious enthusiasm for life, which was matched by the love she shared with her many friends, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Christine (Rob) Scott and Marlene (Ron) Cairns. She also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, AJ Scott, Kevin Scott, Shaun (Makenzie) Scott, Megan (Chris) Naccarato, and Alyssa Cairns, along with her great-grandchildren, Carter Jeffrey and Jackson Ronald. Mary will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Rojtas; her parents, Paul and Helen (Bornak) Sabol; and her dear sister, Dorothy Thompson.

Family and friends will be received February 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home located at 3511 Main St., Munhall, PA 15120.
