Mary Shaw

Mary Virginia, of Vanadium Woods Village, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 28, 2017.

Born in Pittsburgh the daughter of the late Mark and Nora (Joyce) Shaw, Mary graced Hazelwood, Brentwood, and Springdale with her warm, affectionate personality.

A retired insurance underwriter, Mary V’s passion for opera, travel, and Irish heritage brought her joy that she loved to share with her friends and family. Her selflessness knew no bounds and her faith was immense.

Beloved sister of Robert (the late Katherine), John (Karen), William (Evelyn), David (Teresa) and the late James and Mark Shaw;

Cherished Aunt Gin to Mark, Robert, John, Richard, John, Lisa, and Erin.

Adored Great Aunt to Rikkia, Amanda, Jonathan, Chelsea, Richard, Brendan, Connor, John, Luke, Molly, Thaddeus, Jack, and Henry.

Friends received on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main St., Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394).  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen Church in Hazelwood on Thursday at 10:00 AM.
