Mary Carole Watson

Mary Carol Smith Watson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on August 8, 2024, after a short battle with COVID-19. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert W. Smith of West Mifflin, PA, and E. Paul Watson of Graysville, Indiana.

Mary is survived by her two sons and their wives: William R. Smith and Deize N. Smith, and Shawn T. Smith and Veronica Smith. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren: Janice K. N. Smith of Natick, MA; Peter J. Smith of Safety Harbor, FL; Jenny L. Smith of Seattle, WA; Jesse A. Smith and Joelle E. Smith of Pittsburgh, PA. Additionally, she is survived by one great-grandson, Joules A. Smith Crespo.

Mary cherished her time caring for her grandchildren, Janice, Peter, and Jenny, every summer in Graysville, Indiana. She also cherished time with her grandchildren Jesse and Joelle since she was very involved in their lives. She worked at the University of Pittsburgh for many years at UCIS. Her love and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
