Patricia Mary Lucas

Patricia Mary Lucas passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Asbury Place in Mt. Lebanon, PA. She was 86 years old. Her beloved husband of 60 years, Charles Lucas preceded her in death on August 23, 2022.

Patricia was one of nine children born to the late John and Mildred (McCurry) Miller of Lincoln Place, PA. She was also preceded in death by her siblings John (Jack) and wife Florence Miller, James Miller, Frances (Joe) Miller (survived by his wife, Barbara of New Kensington, PA) and Harry and wife Marie Miller.

She is survived by her loving siblings Sr. Bridget Miller of the Sisters of the Holy Spirit in Pittsburgh, PA, Catherine (Kay) Timko of Catonsville, MD, wife of the late Arnold (Tim) Timko, Laura (Ray) Debor of Elizabeth, PA, Rita (John) Wise of Lewisberry, PA and her four grandchildren Jacob Lucas, Natalie Gomez, Brayden Lucas and Mia Gomez.

Patricia grew up in Lincoln Place, PA and met her future husband, Charles, while working at the Park Dairy in Munhall, PA. They married on April 28, 1962 and spent over 50 years in their Munhall home where they raised their three children. She was the devoted mother of the late Luke Lucas, Denise (Dan) Gomez of Corona, CA and the late Mark Lucas, who is survived by his wife, Denise (Glivic) Lucas of Upper St. Clair, PA.

A 1957 graduate of St. Peter’s High School in McKeesport, PA, Patricia worked at Westinghouse in a clerical role before joining the cafeteria staff at Park Elementary and Steel Valley High School while her children were students. She later retired from Equibank as a computer programmer in downtown Pittsburgh in the late 1980s.

She cherished time with her family, loved entertaining in her home and attending all family events. Family was so important to her. Her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy—she loved celebrating their milestones and simply spending time with them.

Her mission in life was to make people laugh—she always had a joke to tell and said, “Laughter was the best medicine!” She was also incredibly crafty, spending her spare time sewing, knitting, crocheting, and creating holiday decorations. Never one to shy away from a do-it-yourself project, she was always there to help and found ways to fix whatever needed fixing. And … before modern day GPS systems, we had Patty!

Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
