Patrick Francis Wolfe of West Mifflin, passed on November 30, 2024, leaving behind family, friends and neighbors that loved him including son-in-law and daughter Joseph and Cathi (Wolfe) Royak, daughter Anna Lisa Wolfe, devoted brother-in-law Robert Cherep, several nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted family, friends and beloved pets.
Born in Homestead, PA on August 12, 1936, son of William and Margaret (Mullen) Wolfe. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Barbara (Cherep) Wolfe, brothers – Jack Wolfe, Thom Wolfe, Bobbie Wolfe, Richard Wolfe, his daughter Margaret Ann (Wolfe) Ames, brother-in-law’s and sisters Huey and Madeline (Wolfe) Morgan, Walter and Dorothy (Wolfe) Gruich, their grandson Cory Vircik, Ann (Wolfe) Bischoff, sister-in-law Elva (Phillips) Cherep and nephew Darran Cherep.
Patrick volunteered for U.S. military service in 1955 during the Korean War. He survived a nearly tragic accident, trapped beneath a truck-bed in 1957, after passing out from spinal meningitis. He worked for over 45 years at United States Steel as a Utilities Analyst /Combustion Engineer and implemented safety protocols.
Well read, Patrick completed his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from combined credits at Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed mentoring, teaching, golfing, cross-country skiing & bicycling in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Mackinac Island, Michigan with family and friends.
Known for his artwork, he was skilled at iconography, rosary making and stained glass.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00am in St. Thomas the Apostle Parish - St. Therese Worship Site (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). A celebration of Patrick’s life will take place in Washington, PA where he will be buried, beside his wife, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 12:30pm(EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE NATIONAL CEMETERY AT 12:20PM).
