Paul Knowlson

Paul Thomas Knowlson died on Tuesday December 14, 2021, age 81 years of West Mifflin; Beloved husband of the late Carolyn Lee Simon to whom he was married for wonderful 48 years.  Loving father of Scott Knowlson, James Knowlson (Jennifer), Tricia Gorman (Rob) and Adam Knowlson; Cherished grandfather of Amanda (Bryan), Logan and Shane and 5 step-grandchildren; Loving great-grandfather of Dylan; Dear brother of Barbara Knight (Late Bob), Mary Lou Anderson (Late Mort), Tom Knowlson (Judy), Susan White (Late Mike), and Dan Knowlson (Cynthia); also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by his cat Curtis.

Paul was a draftsman for RT Patterson for more than 35 years. He proudly served our country in the US Navy. He was an avid hunter of deer and grouse. He enjoyed bass fishing, being in the outdoors and an ice-cold beer. He had a large vegetable garden of which he spent many days tending to. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew and love him.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall PA 15120 (412.461.6394). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery where military honors will be rendered.

Paul was such a giving man often making donations to numerous charities, in lieu of flowers should you desire, please make a charitable contribution in Paul’s memory to a Veteran’s charity of your choice.
