Raymond "Regis" Kondas

Raymond R. Kondas, 93, of Munhall peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 in his home of 58 years surrounded by loved ones. Raymond was born on August 18, 1931, to Sophia (Durica) and Andrew Kondas of Ravine Street. Raymond is survived by his loving and beautiful wife, Adesta (Dusty) of 64 years and his 3 daughters Alisa Marino (Mike), of Souderton, PA, Lori Rodger of Purcellville, VA and Denise Williams of Munhall. Raymond was the beloved Pappy of Ashley, Jordan, Jonathan and Joseph who will miss his feisty and loving personality dearly. He was also survived by his sister Regina (Kondas) Szewczyk and husband Joe and many cherished nieces and nephews, some by blood, and others chosen by Ray. He was preceded in death by siblings Deloras (Ralph) Russel, Andrew (Evelyn) Kondas, Robert (Rose) Kondas and Theresa Kondas.

Raymond was a proud US Army Veteran who fought for our county in the Korean War. He belonged to many organizations including the Catholic War Veterans, VFW, American Legion, Elks Club and the Thompson Run Athletic Association. Ray was happiest when he was fishing, hunting, camping and just traveling around looking at the world. 

Family and friends will be received Saturday, September 21 from 6:00pm-8:00pm, and on Sunday, September 22, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120, 412-461-6394. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 11:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish: St. Rita Worship Site, 229 W. Schwab Ave, Munhall,15120. Followed by a military burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Raymond’s name to the Disabled American Veterans at www.help.Dav.org.
