Robert H. Borkowski Jr.

Robert "Beagle Bob' H. Borkowski Jr., age 71, of Belle Vernon, passed away on January 3, 2023. The oldest son of the late Robert H. Borkowski Sr. and Ruth M. (Holzer) Borkowski, Bob is survived by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Sally (Baker) Borkowski; his two children, Natalie (Jared) Nikolic and Robert K. Borkowski; two grandchildren, Jack and Josie Nikolic. Bob also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition, to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Borkowski. Bob was a proud veteran who had served his country during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp. He later worked at U.S. Steel in Homestead, as a crane operator; for years he had his own own general contracting business; Bob also worked at Verizon as a cable splicer for 15 years before his illness forced him to retire. 

Bob enjoyed many hobbies over the years; hunting with his PA State Champion Beagles, raising farm animals, and growing vegetables in his amazing garden. Bob especially loved spending time outside on his farm with his wife, children, and grandchildren. The family would like to thank his caregivers, especially Jennifer, for the love and care you have given to Bob. He could get no better care. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name can be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America, or, to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. 

Family and friends will be received on January 14, 2023 at the George Irving Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15210 (412-461-6394), from 12:30-2:30 PM where a memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM.
