Robert Fennell Sr.

Robert V. Fennell Sr. “Duffy” age 90, formerly of Southside, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife, Irene (Ciora), of 67 years; loving father of Nancy (Harry) Poth, Robert (Callie) Fennell and William (late Donna) Fennell. Proud grandfather of Joshua (Nicole) Fennell, Heather (James) Rothlein, Michael (Katlin) Poth, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Lambert, Michelle Poth, late Anthony Fennell, Mitchell (Lindsay) Fennell, Megan Fennell and great-grandfather of Evie. He is also survived by two sisters, Betty Pace and Sandra Milanak; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his siblings, William Fennell, Mary Lou Lewis, Frank Fennell, Doris McElhone and Dona McDonough.

Duffy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and spend weekends at camp. He was a former member of Clairton and Library Sportsman Clubs. He retired from J & L Steel after 35 years of service. After retiring he took up woodworking. He loved to make projects for his family and friends. Duffy has a quick wit and enjoyed playing the occasional prank on his loved ones.

Friends will be received on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall PA 15120 (412-461-6394) where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Bob Ahlin officiating.
