Robert “Doc Bob” Lengyel, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the age of 73. A native of the Pittsburgh area, Bob graduated from West Mifflin Area High School and went on to earn his Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Over the years, with offices in White Oak and McKeesport, Bob was able to heal many and often made house calls to those who were especially vulnerable and in need. Always ready with a joke, he loved to make people laugh. He was a beloved friend and caregiver to many.
Bob was also an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish, and was a competitive marksman. He loved all of the fun time to be had with his eight grandchildren, but he especially loved it when they became old enough to learn how to shoot and they could have target practice together.
Bob was proceeded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ethel. He is survived by his siblings, Nancy and Dale; his children, Sarah, Megan and Robert with their respective spouses John, George and Mary as well as his eight grandchildren Matt, McKennah, Sam, Sarah, Grey, Olivia, Kaley and Mia.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 9:00am at George Irvin Greens Funeral Home in Munhall for a viewing with a memorial service at 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children are encouraged.
