Robert Francis Losa

Robert “Bob” Francis Losa peacefully passed away and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 21, 2023 in Tennessee. Bob was born on July 1, 1926 in Munhall, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Munhall, graduated from Mercerburg Academy (1945), and graduated from Westminster College (1950). He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Bob worked as a Supply Manager at Homestead Hospital (later named Jefferson Regional Hospital) for 36 years before he retired in 1988. His love was his church home, Homestead United Presbyterian Church, where he served for over 41 years. Bob loved traveling around the world and especially enjoyed visiting with his family in Tennessee.

All who knew Bob were very blessed because he was one of the most kind-hearted, thoughtful and loving person. He showered people with love and humor. Bob never met a stranger and was well-loved by all.

We are comforted to know he is at peace rejoicing with his Lord and Savior. What a joy it must have been to hear the Father say, “Welcome my beloved child, with you I am well pleased. Well done good and faithful servant.”

Bob was preceded by death by his parents, Dr. Lada Losa and Leah Turner Losa; and his sister, Helen Blair Losa. He is survived by his youngest brother, John P. Losa (Agnes) and three nieces: Debbie Oliver  (Van), Barbie Fisher (Kyle) and Shari Guinn (Troy) . He is also survived by one grandniece, seven grandnephews and many great grandnieces and grandnephews. In lieu of flowers, Bob would like to see God’s Kingdom to continue by sending any memorials to your church home or Young Life of Memphis.

Family and friends will be recieved on Friday, Agust 11, from 1-2pm at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Muhall, 15120 ((412)461-6394).  A private family committal service will be held afterwards at Jefferson Memorial Park.
