Robert G. Murdock

Robert G. Murdock, 74, of Munhall, passed away on July 5, 2023 at Jefferson Hospital, after a brief illness, surrounded by loving family and friends. Born to the late Bob and Dolly (Maloney) Murdock. Bob was a life-long resident of Munhall. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Colon Murdock. Bob is survived by his loving children, Tanya (Cory) Altman, Shawn Murdock, Donna (John) Hudak and Debra (Thomas) Jenkins; loving Pap to 13 grandchildren, Heather (Norm) Schmidt, Tom "T.J." (Tabitha) Jenkins, Ashley (James) Birckhead, Marissa (fiance J.P.) Jenkins, Jonathon Hudak, Shawn C. Murdock, Kristie Murdock, Robert "R.J." (Mylisa) Ehnerd, Austin Graff-Murdock, Alison Graff-Murdock, and Brea, Brenna and Braelyn Altman; loving Great-Pap to 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his sisters, Bobbie Ann (the late John) Terlecki, Shirley (George) Farcus, Dolly (Joel) Kemerer, and Dot (Bob) Hoffman and their families.

Bob spent his lifetime working as a corrosion engineer for the gas companies, beginning with Carnegie Gas and retiring from Equitable Gas. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and loved everything Pitt. He loved the Steelers and Penguins, could shoot pool like a shark, a skilled martial artist and liked nothing better than watching his grandchildren play sports. He was kind, generous, and will be dearly missed.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120 (412)461-6394), where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11 AM.
