Robert E. "Bob" Olson, of Munhall, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Saturday, April 6, 2013. Bob married the love of his life, Barbara Scott (his "Bug") 67 years ago. His beloved ones were also first in Bob's life. He is survived by his children, Bob, Jim, Jack, David (Anne), Doug (Janey), Lynne (Pat) and Gail (Andy). Bob was the beloved "Papap" to 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and was "Uncle Bob" to numerous nieces and nephews. Bob is also survived by his sister, Sally Bungert; his brother, George Olson (Jonelyn); his sister-in-law, Bonnie Kovalcik; and his brother-in-law, Duncan Scott. Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Charles (Marilyn)/ and his brother-in-law, Art. Bob was a 1942 graduate of Homestead High School. He served for two years as a Cadet in the Army/Air Corp. He served many local friends and neighbors and was a real estate and insurance agent, as well as a tax collector in Munhall for 25 years. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 3511 Main St., Munhall. A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday at the Homestead Park United Methodist Church, Shady Ave., Munhall.
