Robert Charles “Lumpy” Walker, 72 of Lincoln Place passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025.
Bobby was born on March 19, 1952, in Pittsburgh and was preceded in death by his beloved parents Wilbert C. and Blanche A. (née Rowse) Walker and brothers Brad S. and Steven.
Bobby is survived by his cherished daughter Kelly (Mike), wife Candace Benish, grandchildren Alyssa, Sydney and Marcus; sisters Linda Younkin (Donald) of North Carolina, Diane Jeskevic (Larry), Barbara Walker, Jean Law (Duane), JoAnne Bethune (Mike) and Carol Hundiak (Pete) of Pittsburgh; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and treasured lifelong friends.
Bobby was a veteran who served honorably in the United States Navy. His commitment to his country were key aspects of his life. Bobby, known affectionately as "Lumpy" by those close to him, was also a passionate motorcycle enthusiast. His love for riding and the freedom it brought him was a defining feature of his personality and he spent many years enjoying the open road. Bobby will be greatly missed by many, and his spirit and memory will live on within our hearts. Ride free now — until we meet again.
Friends will be received at George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main St., Munhall, PA (412-461-6394) on Saturday January 18th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A prayer and blessing service will be held at 2:30pm. Private Internment services are entrusted to Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lincoln Place Presbyterian Church.
