Ronald B. Phares

Ronald Phares 78 of Glassport passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. Father of Scott B. (Dan Hartz) Phares and the Late Christopher Phares. Brother of Carl G. Phares, Bonnie Bowlen, and the Late Kitty Reina, Chuck Phares, and Guy Phares. Preceded in death by his parents Carl and Vivian (Songer) Phares. Ron was a proud Vietnam Veteran who proudly and actively served his country with the US Army in Vietnam. Ron originally grew up in Homestead and was a long time steel worker who retired from US Steel. He was a life long member of Munhall/Whitaker VFW Post 6673, and the Glassport American Legion Post 443. Ron was grateful for years of love and friendship of some special people in his life, Jamie Mays and her family and Elizabeth (Betsy) Ondo. Ron also leaves behind two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to honor Ronald's life and legacy in a procession from Green Funeral Home (3511 Main St, Munhall) to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday, January 2, 2026, where a Military Honors Service will commence.
