Ronald Williams

Ronald T. Williams, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, at the age of 86. Born on June 16, 1938, he is predeceased by parents Thomas and Gertrude (Burk) Williams, and his beloved wife of 64 years, Sylvia.

Ron is survived by his four children, Cynthia Evans, Lisa (Art) Sternberger, Ronald Williams, and Susan (Ron) Crevar. Grandfather of Joshua Evans, Ashley Kondas, Shane (Lindsey) Crevar, Jake Sternberger, Nicole (Zach) Stringer, Tayler Evans, Cheyanne Crevar, Leah Sternberger, and Dane Evans. Great-grandfather of Nathan and Andrew Crevar. Brother of Thomas (Penny) Williams and Karen (the late John) Jefferson. Brother-in-law to Joan (the late Bill) Miller.

Ron began his career with Mesta Machine in 1956 in the labor gang, entered the machinist apprenticeship program, and became a journeyman machinist. He retired in 2000 as Superintendent of the Machine Shop at WHEMCO.

In retirement, Ron enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was always generous with his knowledge and experience, never hesitating to share what he knew with others. To some, Ron was like a father figure, a guiding presence in their lives. To his family, he was truly a blessing, a source of love and support.

Friends and family are welcome to join a Mass of Christian Burial for Ron and Sylvia at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish: St. Agnes R.C. Worship Site, 622 St. Agnes Lane, West Mifflin, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM. A celebration of life will follow immediately in the adjoining St. Agnes Social Hall from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., in Munhall.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ronald’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, Pittsburgh.
