Roselyn Chorney

J. Roselyn Brown Chorney, 93 formerly of Munhall on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the Armstrong County Health Center. She was born November 20, 1922 to the late J. Raymond and Edith Lam Brown in Roanoke, VA. Loving wife of the late Andrew “Andy” Chorney, beloved mother of Dr.Lauren Chorney (William Knopp) of Crooked Creek Lake and Bruce (Rowena) Chorney of Los Angeles, She was vey proud of her grandson Thomas Chorney, sister of the late Edna H. Kochka  and Ennis R. Brown,  She will also be missed by her devoted nieces, nephews and friends. Throughout her life, Roselyn delighted in her friendships with her neighbors, family, and friends, some of which continued across many miles. She often quoted poetry about the value of friendship. Her collection of friends also included the animals which she adopted, loved and cared for. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2 – 7 P.M. at George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc. 3511 Main St. Munhall 412-461-6394 where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 21, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Internment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request that, if desired, donations may be made to an animal shelter: Orphans of the Storm, Inc.
