Russell Barefoot

Russell age 94, of Lincoln Place passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015;

Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Mildred Barefoot;

Cherished father of Russell (Elma), Randy (Teresa) and Robin (Terry) Steyer;

Loving grandfather of Russell (Cory), Christie Lynn (Robert) and Wesley Barefoot;

Special great – grandfather of Amanda Feight, Tyler, Justyn and Lucas Barefoot;

Preceded in death by his parents Russell and Rhoda Barefoot, brother Ned and sister Pauline Heckman;

Russell was a WWII Marine Corps Veteran, a retired utility analyst for US Steel for 42 years, a Life Member of Alliquippa Lodge #375 F&AM with over 50 years of service, a life member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Al-O-Mon Forest # 138, life member of the American Legion White Oak Post # 701 with 44 years of service, life member of the Elks former Homestead # 650.  He was the oldest active member of the Thompson Run Athletic Assoc., a member of the AARP # 3172, and Lincoln Place VFW Post 5321.

Russ was an avid bowler and golfer till the end with a high score in bowling of 290 and had 2 holes in one in golf;

Everyone who met Russ loved him and his fun – loving spirit;
