Russ lived a full life. He graduated from West Mifflin North High School. He served in the Army active duty in the Vietnam War. He was a hard worker at A.M. Lutheran, Kaufman Bread Company, and Bp gas station. He was friends with many people in the community. He liked watching television (cowboy movies and Sci fi movies) He loved Star Trek. He was a Trekkie when he met Debbie. Russ loved music especially, Blues bands.

Russ was lovingly known as “Old Man” and was a good guy. He was one of those rough on the outside but a sweet, lovable teddy bear on the inside. He was a jokester till the end. He was strong willed and fought a good fight, but cancer is a monster. He battled for over a year and did surprisingly good other than this last month. The last week his body grew very tired. Russ will be missed by many people. At his request, there will be no service or viewing. Arrangements are private and being handled by the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., in Munhall.
