Ruth Marie (Ritter) Wilhelm

Ruth Wilhelm passed away on February 13, 2022, age 96, of West Mifflin. Born in Homeville; a daughter of the late John and Emma (Lingertot) Ritter.

Ruth is survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws; Lynne D. (John) Kampe, Nancy R. (Dale) Lieb and Leslie J. (Drew) Pogyor;  six grandchildren; Carolyn (Bill) Kinsey, John (Kathi) Kampe, Caleb Pogyor, Megan (Tom) Orfanelli, Christopher Lieb and Jessica Lieb; as well as five great-grandchildren Natalie, Christian, Hayden, Jackson and Kaleena.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert C. Wilhelm; and her siblings, Alma, Emma, Dorothy, Lydia, John, Richard,  Edward, Janet and Jean.

Ruth was a longtime member of Emmanual Lutheran Church in Braddock and most recently Faith Lutheran Church. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed trips to the Meadows, playing cards and Banana Grams and she loved shopping. Spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and family brought her the most joy.

Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 2 – 4 PM & 6 – 8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall (412.461.6394). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11 AM in Faith Lutheran Church, 1656 Lincoln Way with Pastor Ryan Michaels officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth’s name to Faith Lutheran Church, 1656 Lincoln Way, McKeesport, PA 15131.
