Samuel Smerkol, Sr.

On November 22, 2017 age 62 of West Mifflin;

Sam was born in McKeesport the son of Catherine (May) Septak and the late John Smerkol;

Beloved husband of the late Robin (Fillo) Smerkol;

Cherished father of Samuel (Katie) Smerkol, Jr., of Baldwin, Stacey (Adam Hoover) Smerkol of Dravosburg and John Smerkol of West Mifflin;

Cherished grandfather of Jacob and Hayden;

Sam was a retired steelworker for Homestead Works and E.T., he was an avid outdoorsman who liked his hunting and fishing, longtime sports coach and loved spending time at his camp “Shadyrest” and with his grandchildren;

Friends received on Wednesday from 1 – 4 & 6 – 9 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St., Munhall, 15120 (412-461-6394) where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10 AM with Rev. David Shively officiating.
