Sean R. Edwards

Sean Robert Edwards, 57, of Munhall, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Sean was born January 7, 1968, loving son of the late James L. Edwards, Jr. and the late Cathryne H. Edwards of Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.

Sean graduated from Steel Valley High School in 1986 and was a skilled artist in his youth, able to sketch pictures and scenes from memory or by his quick observations. Throughout his life, Sean explored many professions. Notably, he trained to be a welder where he was able to weld and assemble metal products using certified equipment. He also renewed his interest in automobiles and worked at a few auto dealerships in the Pittsburgh area. The last dealership Sean worked at was Budd Baer Subaru in Washington, Pennsylvania. During the last few years, Sean worked in several other industries that included the Amazon Distribution Center in Pittsburgh for a brief period. His last place of employment was at The Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Homestead, Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, Sean was a free spirit that pushed boundaries and ideas to make his way in the world. He was a talented auto mechanic like his father and loved to work with his hands. His rough exterior protected and concealed a soft-hearted man who loved animals, cared deeply for others, and always tried to assist those in need. Like his father, Sean was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed watching them win on Sundays. And now, he cheers from beyond the clouds.

His spirit and memory live on with his three brothers: Retired Air Force Colonel Scott D. Edwards and his wife Carol of Benton Louisiana, Jaison D. Edwards and his wife Johanna Wojtaszek of Wintersville, Ohio, and Kirby L. Edwards of Munhall, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces in the Edwards family: Zachary, Bryce, Nathanial, Corey, Joshua, Carrington, Melissa, Luc, Hannah, Ashlee, and Lexee Edwards, CJ Horvwalt, Mya and Arya Edwards, Danielle Edwards, Austin Ganzy and Kylee Edwards, Novalynn, Raylyn and Jayce Thomas, Kinslee and Rowan Dolenak.
