Shirley A. Dell

Shirley Ann Dell, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on January 1st 2026. Born on August 22, 1933, to Louis and Cecilia Hirtz, she was an avid lover of books, trivia and all things Steelers. She enjoyed all forms of music but especially loved her golden oldies.

Shirley was a friend to everyone she met with her kind and generous spirit. She was quick to make people feel welcome and part of the family with genuine friendship and unconditional love.

Family was everything to Shirley. And she was everything to her family; mentor, confidant, best friend, inspiration and biggest cheerleader. She loved life and taught us to be kind, forgiving, compassionate, and to live life to the fullest. She was truly the heart of the family and her absence will be deeply felt.

Shirley is survived by her children Lorry Dell, John (Brenda) Dell, and Dee Fabian; Grandchildren Stevi Dell, Kevin Dell, John Michael (Rickie) Dell, the late Jennifer Verna, Breanna (Eric) Reeser, the late Jessica Pirozzi, Matthew (Emily) Williams, and Nicholas DiCarlo. Great-Grandchildren Cameron Dell, Sierra Meyer-Dell, Rainn Stone-Dell, Jared Dell, Lilyana Dell, Jozef Stone, Jakob Dell, Tori Verna, Timothy Verna, Nathaniel Verna, Oliver Williams and Landon Williams; Great Great-Grandchildren Gabriel Jackson and Adalynn Verna, as well as many beloved cousins and friends.

She will live on in the hearts of all she loved and who loved her.

There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date and details forthcoming.
