Steven James Pishinsky

On September 21, 2026, at the age of 79, from Munhall. Steve was born in Homestead on February 16, 1947, to the late August and Catherine (Szybowicz) Pishinsky. Steve was the youngest of 15 children, seven brothers and seven sisters. 

Steve is survived by his children Steven Pishinsky II, Laura Pishinsky Schreiner and Amy (Glenn) Shields, 6 grandchildren, Kaitlin, Casey, Shane, and Luke Schreiner and Logan and Liam Shields, 3 siblings, Rita Jones, Evelyn Kowalski and Patrica Martin and ex-wife Kathleen (Gall) Pishinsky. 

Steve worked as a welder at US Steel for many years and as a maintenance technician at several different facilities. He served his country in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant and Vietnam era veteran from 1966 to 1968. He had a passion and love for fishing and spent some of his happiest days with a fishing rod in one hand and a beer in the other. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Steve’s name to Wings for Our Heroes.

Family and friends received at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street in Munhall, on Friday, September 25th, from 12-3pm, preceding a Memorial Service to be held promptly at 3pm with Pastor John Devey officiating.
