Thomas Joseph Kurth Jr.

Thomas Joseph Kurth Jr., 83, passed away on December 31,2024 after a long and fulfilling life. Born on June 6,1941 in McKeesport, he was the beloved son of Thomas Joseph Kurth Sr. and Gladys Diggins. A devoted husband to Mary Lou Kurth, Thomas shared a loving marriage for 61 years. He was a proud father to Jay Kurth(Lori), and the late Matthew Kurth(Rubi) and doting grandfather to Anthony Hurley, Courtney Kurth-Young(Jake), Jared D'Alessandro, Jacob Hartman and a loving great grandfather to Jake William Young Jr, and caring brother to the late Kay Smoyer(Bill), Frank Kurth(Karen), Susan Fehr(Mark) Throughout his life, Thomas made his mark in the US Army stationed in Vietnam and US Airways, where he was known for his dedication, integrity, and passion. He enjoyed riding his side by side, shooting sports, and was especially passionate about spending time with family and friends and always giving back to the community that supported him. His kindness, humor, and strength of character left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Thomas’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have crossed his path. Thomas Joseph Kurth Jr. will be greatly missed but forever cherished by all who loved him. Arrangments are private and have been handled by the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., in Munhall.
