Thomas Stanziano

Thomas O. Stanziano Sr., 81, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026.

He was born on February 26, 1944, in Hartford, Connecticut, and later made Pittsburgh his lifelong home — a city he loved deeply and proudly called his own.

Tom was the devoted husband of the late Diana (Mazza) Stanziano, with whom he shared many happy years of marriage, family, and friendship.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that instilled in him a lifelong sense of discipline, duty, and patriotism. Following his military service, Tom spent many years as a postal carrier with the United States Postal Service, a career he took great pride in. Known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and friendly manner, he built lasting relationships with coworkers and the many families along his mail route.

A devoted family man, Tom is survived by his children: Teresa (Rick) Harrell of Locust Grove, Virginia; Thomas O. (Wendy) Stanziano Jr. of Oldsmar, Florida; and Pamela (Michael) Ruffing of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania; Sean (deceased); and by his grandchildren: Alexis, Aaron, Caleb, Ava, Ryan, Dylan, Lauren, Logan, and Abrianna.

His grandchildren were a constant source of pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

In his personal life, Tom enjoyed jogging, staying active, and faithfully following his beloved Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers. A lifelong sports fan, he rarely missed a game and delighted in sharing his passion for Pittsburgh sports with family and friends.

Tom will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyalty, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. His life was marked by service, integrity, and love, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Family and friends received on Saturday, January 31, from 12-3 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120; where a Blessing Service will take place at 2:30 PM with Deacon Ron Demblowski officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
