It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Valerie Ann Ash, beloved friend, cherished engineer, and passionate musician, who entered into eternal rest on June 18, 2026. Born on March 20, 1952, in Olean, NY, Valerie enriched the lives of those around her with her remarkable spirit and dedication to both her profession and her passions.
Valerie pursued an Associate’s Degree and made her mark as an esteemed Electronic Field Engineer at NCR, contributing to the specialized electronic technology industry. Her intellect and commitment earned her respect among her colleagues and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to work alongside her.In her younger years, Valerie expressed her love of music by playing in the bands "Oz" and "Elusion," sharing her talent and joy with audiences. Music was not only a source of inspiration for Valerie, but also a bridge that connected her to friends and memories that would last a lifetime.
Known for her warmth and nurturing spirit, Valerie shared a special bond with her beloved cat and found companionship and joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was especially grateful for the unwavering support of her best friend and later caregiver, Debbie Reichenbach, whose love and dedication provided Valerie with comfort during her later years. Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Catherine (Caffo) Ash.
Per Valerie's wishes, arrangements are private and entrusted to the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., in Munhall.Valerie Ann Ash will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
