Walter E. Cain, Jr.

On March 18, 2023, the Lord called Walter Cain Jr to eternal rest, surrounded by his family at the age of 69. Walt was the beloved husband of Mary Kay (Kiger) Cain for 51 beautiful years; the cherished father of Jamie (Michael) Capone; and the loving grandfather of Kevin Capone.  He was predeceased by his parents, Walter Cain Sr and Elizabeth Furlong, and his sister, Barbara Stange. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws who will miss him dearly.  Walt was a retired laborer who enjoyed Steelers football and Penguin hockey, but most of all, he loved just spending time with his wife, daughter, and his Shih Tzu, Hanson.  He is remembered fondly as the “gentle giant” for his kind heart, generosity, and devout Catholic faith. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 2pm to 8pm at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 15120 (412-461-6394). A funeral mass will be held at St. Therese Church, 1 St. Therese Ct.
