William A. Bendgen, Sr.

William passed away on July 24, 2023 at the age of 84.  He was born in Pittsburgh the son of the late William and Rebekah (Hartman) Bendgen.  Beloved husband of 61 years to  Bonita Marie (Fetherolf).  Cherished father of William (MaryAnn) Bendgen, Jr., and Bobbi Jo (Carl) Bour.  Special grandfather of William A. (Kristen) Bendgen III, and Jordan, Cameron and Arden Bour.  Brother of Avonelle Riley. 

Bill was an avid bowler for over 20 years with the Thursday Night Pinbusters at the Coral Lanes in West Mifflin.  He was a electrician at U.S. Steel Homestead Works for 20 years and a IT Specalist at ALCOSAN for 26 years.  Bill cherished his grandchildren very much and enjoyed attending their baseball and hockey games, dance and gymnastics recitals and especially their annual vacations to Dewey Beach.  His grandchildren will always remember his funny one liners and stories.

Family and friends received on Sunday from 1 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc. 3511 Main St. Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394)  where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 31, 2023 at 11 am with Rev.
