William "Bill" Hertzler, Jr.

William "Bill" Hertzler, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and all-around family man passed away peacefully at home on December 2, 2023 at the age 83. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen F. (Allen) and William Hertzler, his brothers (David, Ron, Rick, and Denny), and his grandson David Hertzler Jr. Bill enjoyed spending time with his wife, Eleanor and his family. Anyone who met Bill described him as a "good" man who took pride in loving, protecting, and providing for his family. Bill was a man of few words but made those around him feel and know how much he loved them. Bill was an extremely hard-working man, working as a truck driver for Allen Trucking, a millwright for US Steel in Homestead, and most recently the beloved maintenance technician of Steel Center Vo-Tech. He was also a proud member and past president of the Lincoln Place Lions Club. Bill is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Koltz) Hertzler; his sister Nancy L. Lober; his three sons David (Cassie) Hertzler, Chuck (Denise) Hertzler, and William "Bill" (Joan) Hertzler; his four grandchildren William "Bill" (Taryn) Hertzler, Elizabeth Hertzler, Melissa Hertzler, and Dan (Autumn) Hertzler; and his great-granddaughter, Harleigh Hertzler.

Friends and family will be recieved on Wednesday, December 6 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120, ((412)461-6394); where a funeral service will occur the following morning, Thursday, December 7, at 10 AM with Pastor Dennis Koltz officiating.
