He enjoyed driving around the area, always showing visitors his in-depth historic knowledge of the surrounding area. After his wife died, he started traveling, cruising, re-decorating their home, and cooking. He loved visits from family and brother Bob, who lived locally. One of his favorite past times was sitting on his lanai looking out at the lake, watching the blue herons, sipping on prosecco, and reminiscing on his childhood stories, and career.
